About

I am a Flex developer (primarily), working at Silicon Publishing, Inc. creating web to print solutions. That’s professional talk for web apps that let you make stuff that will get printed. I still work on Flex applications, both new ones and maintaining old ones. Since sites are moving to HTML5, my focus is gradually shifting but I haven’t had to give up Flex just yet.

In my spare time, I am an avid photographer.

I used to manage the Seattle Flex User Group (now the Seattle Web App Developers group) but have since devoted more time to my family.

I have tutored people on Flex development and loved helping people learn how to effectively use the Flex framework and the Flash platform to create applications that can be built once and deployed anywhere. I still love tutoring people on tech stuff and can do so in a non-techie way that anyone can understand.
